5x20mm 5A Glass Fuse
A 5x20mm 5A Glass Fuse is a type of electrical safety device used to protect electrical circuits and components from overloading or short-circuits. The "5x20mm" refers to the physical dimensions of the fuse, with the 5mm being the diameter and the 20mm being the length. The "5A" refers to the maximum current rating, which is the maximum current the fuse is designed to safely handle before it blows or opens the circuit, protecting the connected equipment. Fuses consist of a metal wire or filament encased in a glass or ceramic tube, with metal end caps. When the current passing through the circuit exceeds the rated value, the metal filament melts and breaks, interrupting the flow of current and preventing damage to the electrical equipment. 5x20mm 5A Glass Fuses are commonly used in a variety of electronic devices, including home appliances, power supplies, and electronic circuits, to provide protection against overloading or short-circuits. They are inexpensive, easy to replace, and offer a reliable method for protecting sensitive electronic components and equipment.
