Arduino Solar Tracker System with Electronic Components - SolarX
SolarX detects the position of the sun through the LDRs on it and follows the sunlight thanks to the motors. In this way, you get more energy from the sun. With Robotistan's difference, you can learn how to do the project and how to develop SolarX, thanks to the specially prepared e-book. What are you waiting for, check out our guide and video now.
In these days, the World struggles with energy problems. World population is growing just every single minute, in fact people need to consume more energy comparatively. Energy sources are decreasing everyday. On the other hand we have clean light based energy sources like solar power. This type of energy is totally clean, renewable and it does not pollute the environment.
This project aims to get energy from the Sunlight. To do that, we’ll make a solar tracker system which has two-axis and lots of light sensors. The system will follow the light source and catch the energy with its solar panel. Then the system will be able to store the clean solar energy to use later.
As Robotistan Product Development Team, we created a STEM Kit which inspires children from all ages to use more clean energy for our future. So if you want to educate and inspire your child when he/she is developing motor and electronic skills that he/she needs. This kits is perfect for you. So just buy this Stem Kit and get ready for a full fun family weekend!
By trying to combine the parts with the instructions given, hand-eye coordination can be achieved and hand skills can be developed.
Since this project is a STEM study, it is aimed to develop children's problem-solving skills in the future.
Solar Tracker can move omnidirectionally in X and Y directions. Thanks to this movement mechanism, which we call dual-axis, it becomes easier to follow the light source.
After the assembly stages of the project, there has to be a software to run.
We are now send pre-coded Arduino, so you don't have to struggle with any problems.
If you want; thanks to the commented codes we have prepared, you can learn "how the project works" and "which code line is running what?".
Solar Kit's Manual is now sent to you in its updated version. In the current version; the list of all parts of the kit, the installation steps are explained with more understandable visuals. The codes of the project are also in this manual.
We made many improvements in the manual with the feedback we received. When you buy the kit, it comes absolutely with the manual book.
The parts in this kit are made of wood. In this way, a healthier learning experience for children is aimed. In addition, the wooden material can be painted as desired. So, it is possible to make the project more colorful.
There have also been many updates to the Solar Kit. Now you can see the electricity you get with segment-display!
The basic principle of the project is catching the light. With the LDR sensors on its four corners, your system will be able to detect which direction the light is coming from and direct the moving mechanisms towards the light. In this way, your project will automatically move towards the light.
Solar panels are inexpensive and easily accessible everywhere. In addition, advanced electrical knowledge is not required to make a solar panel system, because there are frequent descriptions on Youtube or DIY sites.
You have probably seen solar panels on the roofs of some houses. Solar panels, which were not very common in the past, started to become very popular thanks to the government subsidy. Installing a solar panel system in a home or building is quite logical as it requires very little maintenance and repairs.
The project is basically based on the movement of sunlight according to the angle of incidence. For this purpose, it is aimed to benefit from sunlight with maximum efficiency throughout the day.
